Over the years I have developed a particular interest in women’s mental health issues having worked with women experiencing difficulties related to pregnancy and other gynaecological problems, women who have experienced various forms of abuse, and women grappling with issues related to their identity and worth.
Therapeutic Approach
I love what I do and feel a deep sense of gratitude at having the opportunity to journey with people through some of the most difficult experiences in their lives.
I value and aim to provide a confidential, non-judgmental, and empathic therapeutic environment. It is important that clients collaborate in their therapeutic journey and feel empowered.
I make use of a number of therapeutic modalities, including psychodynamic psychotherapy, narrative approaches, as well as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy techniques. I use whichever approach is most appropriate for each individual case.
Online Therapy
Online therapeutic consultations (telehealth) are now endorsed by the Health Professions Council of South Africa and covered by most medical aids. I use the following platforms: Zoom, Doxy.me and WhatsApp video call. For cash paying clients, I require proof of payment ahead of the session which serves as confirmation of the session.
